Mission Statement

Aid For Friends is a private, non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing and other supportive services to individuals and families facing homelessness.

We offer opportunities, resources and services to empower people to bring stability into their daily lives.

Aid For Friends offers a second chance for life.

No Stranger Need Lodge in the Street

There will be an interview/photo and video opportunity at 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, at Caldwell Park in connection with the Fifth Annual Aid For Friends Homeless Encampment.

1-We will have a mock-up with a cardboard box set up for habitation.
2-Interviews will be available with B.J. Stensland and Gary Scholer (pronounced Shuler).

Scholer is a former resident of the Aid For Friends shelter who has volunteered at each of the first four encampments.

Financial contributions enable Aid For Friends to continue providing shelter to families and individuals that may have no other place.  Please take a moment to consider the less fortunate members of our community that may need your help and will appreciate any token of kindness.

If you are wondering if your contribution would be useful, please call Joni at 232-5669 so that we can give you a list of the types of items that we need for the clients currently in the Emergency Shelter. 

Please deliver to the Carter Street entrance of the Emergency Shelter at 653 S. 4th Ave., in Pocatello, Idaho.

Whenever you donate used clothing, please ensure that the items are clean, free of stains and need no mending.
